A visit from our Swedish friends!

6th May, 2010

On Wednesday I met a lovely Swede family and made friends with their two daughters and son. They were all talking to me in Swedish, it sounded different to English as the words had lots of pitch changes. Even though I can speak four different languages, Swedish is not one of them so all I could do is make some funny squeaks to reply. By the end I could work out ‘where is Carragher?’ and ‘let’s play football’! We had a kick about outside the restaurant then they walked me over to the fountains and were trying to push me in, it was so much fun!
Thursday- Oww it was so rainy. My feet got all wet because I was wearing my old trainers, they have a whopping hole in them. I saw lots of French and Spanish tourists and had a good catch up with them because you know how I am multi lingual…Clever Sporty :D .
On Friday there were lots of Scandinavian tourists sat outside in our newly refurbished outdoor area, they were safe from the rain under our giant parasols! I was slipping and sliding about but managed to entertain the passers by as usual. I was looking forward to the big party that was in at 7pm.
Wowwee!! I had such a fabulous day on Saturday! I was guest ‘Star’ (haha get it!) at the Clatterbridge Cancer ‘Around the world in 80 ways’ charity event on Chavasse Park! All my friends were there…The Mayeress, Clatterbridge Chick, Everton Tiger and Gully the Mouse!!! After releasing the balloons we had a race and did the conga around the top of L1, I met loads of great people on my way around. Then we did the ‘hokey kokey’ and ‘the music man’ where lots of the children joined in! Take a look at the photographs they’re great and you might be on one or two!!!
